The people of Bihar are facing the worst floods in living memory. Many districts are under water, rendering 15 lakh people homeless. With a furious Kosi pushing the famished, homeless people to the edge, reports say that the hunger of hundreds of flood victims have started causing violent conflicts. Now facing the danger of epidemics, our brothers and sisters of Bihar have lost not just their homes, but virtually everything, including their income.

Helping the flood-hit pick up their shattered lives requires enormous relief work. Here are three ways you can play a part in helping our brothers and sisters in Bihar:

1) Volunteer on Sunday, 4pm to 6.30pm at the above address for packing the relief materials
2) You can Contribute: Click here to see the list of materials needed

3) You can put out a letter or post leaflets to the members of your apartment, society or office and set up your own collection center where they can leave relief goods. We can send a vehicle to pick up what you have collected. Also if you need help in designing/writing the letter than just email nirali@shvaas.org
