'Global Day of Action’
Successive reports show that even the scientists have underestimated the speed at which the global climate is being destabilized. What we see now in terms of exceptional floods, droughts and other disasters, is just the start of a process that threatens to accelerate out of control.

December 8th is the Saturday midway through the UN Climate Talks in Bali, Indonesia …
On that day we can link up with people all around the world who are demanding that we get real action NOW to prevent the catastrophe that threatens to engulf us all. There will be many demonstrations taking place all over the world.( www.globalclimatecampaign.org )

This event proposal will be our contribution to sensitize Ahmedabad and make it aware of ‘Global Climatic Change’ and its impact within our lifetime. Help us make this happen!

9:30 AM- OPENING OF THE CEREMONY & EXHIBITION

10:00 AM-11:30 AM- PAINT A POSTER COMPETITION
This is a theme based poster painting competition, meant for children of two age groups 8-12 and 13-17. The colors used by these colors will be gifted to them as a token from Global Climate Campaign

12:00 PM-2:00 PM-INTERACTIONS & PRESENTATIONS

2:30 PM-4:30 PM- GRAFFITTI TIME
Huge old advertisement hoardings will be hung as part of an installation, with cans of paint and brushes in front. Keeping the subject in mind, students from various colleges will paint graffiti and images on the canvas.
The idea is to bring everybody to convey their message on the same subject on one platform.

4:30 PM-6:00 PM- PHYSICAL THEATRE
Prayer- Visamo Orphanage Kids
Mahatma Gandhi International School- 10 min play related to the subject
Delhi Public school, Ahmedabad- 10 min skit related to the subject.

6:30 PM- 10:30 PM- THEME BASED ROCK CONCERT
Bands have been requested to compose and write fresh original music or lyrics which would explain to the common people the facts on Climate Change facing them in the times to come.
Participating rock groups are also most welcome to do popular covers with a similar theme.
