“Know you what it is to be a child? It is to be something very different from the man of to-day. It is to have a spirit yet streaming from the waters of baptism; it is to believe in love, to believe in loveliness, to believe in belief; it is to be so little that the elves can reach to whisper in your ear; it is to turn pumpkins into coaches, and mice into horses, lowness into loftiness, and nothing into everything, for each child has its fairy godmother in its own soul.”- Francis Thompson
I love buying breads!!! REASON~~~KAJAL a four year old girl who is a friend…who hardly speaks a few words of her mind…but has learnt 5 sentences which she can fluently speak when she begs…a very dutiful daughter (1) who’s “sister is hungry at home”, (2)who “herself has been hungry for the last 10 days” , (3)who’s “father is ill” , (4) who’s “mother is ill” (5) IF ANYTHING DOESN’T WORK “her brother is hospitalized” …….
She calls me “BABE”, doesn’t use her so called “repetitive” language with me and sits with me for hours saying nothing. She blushes, smiles and asks me for her drawing book whenever we are done with the smiling-blushing part…..she colors for a few minutes, flips pages and decides what picture will she color for the next time we meet… she tells me not to tell her mother about the book she colors…she never tells me that she is hungry for she tells me that she eats 4 chapattis everyday at the government school nearby.
There is something about KAJAL when she makes me meet her sister, sister’s friend, brother, younger brother, one more brother, brother’s friend~~~ all in all an army of a few elves and then shuns them away when she is done with the introduction part…and then we smile, blush and paint again!!! Whenever she sees her mother coming she runs away…And I go buy a bread!!!
There is something about Kajal………
