On December 1st, 2007 Shvaas had organized a Webtune Workshop at IIM Ahmedabad. Many different NGO's from Ahmedabad city had participated. The entire workshop was created to help NGO's leverage the potential of the Internet in a way that brings more efficiency and ease in their internal management, and more impact in their communication to the world. This workshop was designed and
conducted by a highly skilled and knowlegeable Shvaas Volunteer, Mr. Samir
Sanghvi from Cybersurf
India Pvt. Ltd.
Below are
some of the Feedbacks given by the participants: 1) Absolutely wonderful. I'm delighted that I was here. Getting in touch with Shvaas and Samirbhai is certainly an association that I'll cherish. 2) Very good overview of various services that Google provides. Excellent overall/broad introduction. Also bring more focus on services that Ngo's can use: like Google Documents, Gmail, Calendar, Rss Feeds/blogs, Google Groups. 3) The workshop was simply amazing. Samirbhai - your enthusiasm has charged up everyone. Keep it up. We would like to learn more about "mashing-up" that you spoke about. A big thanx to Shvaas! 4) We would like you to conduct such a workshop again so that many other people and Ngo's can leverage its benefits. 5) Shvaas is doing some excellent work. Thank you. 6) Today we learnt a lot. We have been using computers quite a lot. But today after this workshop we are realizing that we know very little of the potential, computers and internet, can offer to us. This workshop was very enriching and we hope that we can apply what we learnt more effectively to strengthen our work. 7) Samirbhai has a lot of knowledge. And we hope that he will continue to share his knowledge with people like us. 8) I think this internet technology evolves and gets more info day-by-day. So I personally think that these sessions should happen atleast once in six months. 9) Gained insight about how to very easily make use of a powerful tool like google and web. Lot of ideas for information sharing and analysing them for the betterment of our NGO. I feel now a 'technologist' doesn't stand in the way for web applications useful for our NGO. 10) Shvaas is doing great work. Apart
from strengthening the society, by strengthening NGO's, the goal for a
better world can be achieved faster :) Thank you.
